Another addition to the newly gentrified Bermondsey Square, this Moroccan-themed restaurant and bar serves a solid Mojito at very un-SE1 prices.

Like a new-born foal this bar holds the promise that it may one day grow into a thoroughbred. Right now, though, it's still at the "animals do the funniest things" stage, as the staff struggle to remember what they actually serve and where everthing is, without crashing into each other, while the owner gets increasingly shouty.
Still, for £6.50 they'll make you a solid mojito with a Sailor Jerry float and a little too much gomme, and the venue has been impeccably fitted out, with an unusual glass floor looking down on the remains of the 13th century monestary which stood on the site.

Like everyone these days, the bar has it's own take on the mojito. The "morojito" uses White sugar, purple basil and a dash of lychee juice to create a pretty good twist on the original, but I've never been a fan of sweet mojitos, so I won't be having another. The better half liked it immensly, though.

Scores on the doors:

The venue: Lovingly laid-out Lebanese, but struggling to find it's feet - 7/10
The Value: £6.50 - Very Reasonable - 8/10
The Mojito: Competent, if a little sweet. - 7/10
Overall: 7/10 (with room to move up)
